What You'll Do
- 1Monitor systems and respond to known and new threats using intrusion detection software
- 2Review security log data and triage a wide range of security events
- 3Help with incident handling: containment, protection and remediation
- 4Help design and configure security systems such as proxies, mail gateways and firewalls
- 5Follow investigation playbooks, runbooks and standard procedures
- 6Spot false positives and escalate real incidents to senior analysts
What We're Looking For
- No minimum years stated; this is an L1 analyst role with close supervision
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security, or relevant work experience
- Strong interest in security operations, incident response, malware analysis and SIEM
- Understanding of common attack types and familiarity with SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls and endpoint protection
- Bonus: entry-level certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH or ISC2 CC, or CTF and Hack The Box practice
