About the Role
Okta is looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer for its Emerging Products Group in Bengaluru. You would build and run highly reliable, scalable and secure cloud services, with an automation-first approach to platform engineering, observability and operations. The role is hybrid.

What You'll Do
- 1Design, build and operate large-scale cloud infrastructure and production services
- 2Take part in an on-call rotation for highly available customer-facing systems
- 3Lead incident response and drive post-incident reviews
- 4Define, measure and improve SLIs, SLOs and error budgets
- 5Improve observability through metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards and alerting
- 6Write automation and infrastructure code in Go, Python and Terraform to remove operational toil
- 7Improve deployment safety through CI/CD and GitOps practices
- 8Build self-service platforms and guardrails that raise developer velocity
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience operating large-scale production services on AWS and/or GCP
- Deep expertise with Kubernetes in production, including networking, storage, scheduling and scaling issues
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform and Helm
- Strong software engineering skills in Golang and/or Python
- Experience operating distributed data platforms such as PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, MySQL or Cassandra
- Solid cloud networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, ingress, TLS and traffic management
- Understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets and capacity planning
